Lets Build On Good Vibe

Graham Drury wants Corby Town to maintain their positive vibe at home to Eastwood Town tomorrow.

The Steelmen go into the game looking for their third victory in four in the Blue Square Bet North as they look to continue the upward momentum from their win at Stafford Rangers last week.

Corby played with vibrancy in that game, epitomised by Andy Hall's hat-trick.

With the match being the first home game for new chairman Les Manning, chief executive Helen Thompson and director Graham Starmer, Drury wants his players to make the occasion a memorable one.

"After all the upheaval of what's gone on of late with losing players and Peter Mallinger's death, it's not been easy for us," he said.

"But it's vital we keep the positives going and we need to build on the win last week.

"It's the first home game for the new chairman too, so we want to get a win for him."

However, while Drury is confident of getting a good result, he knows it will not be easy against an Eastwood side who, in the last few weeks, have knocked Rushden & Diamonds out of the FA Trophy and come into the game on the back of a superb midweek win at Workington.

In Lee Stevenson, they have a prolific goal-scorer as Diamonds will testify after his hat-trick against them in the FA Trophy replay.

"Stevenson is a fantastic player, he used to get goals all the time for King's Lynn, he got 35 goals from midfield for Belper Town last year and he's carried on that form," continued Drury.

"They had a fantastic result at Workington and they are clearly in a good run of form right now.

"They've just signed Danny Pitham who was with us until this month so they will know a bit about us.

"But we are in form ourselves and we need to just take each game as it comes and hope we can maintain the good performances we have shown against the better sides at home this year."
