Worcester City 0-2 Corby Town

Corby Town sealed an important victory over Worcester City tonight at St Georges Lane, which seen them leapfrog their hosts in the Blue Square North table to 9th place. Corby's first victory of 2011 was an extremely welcome one, and means they are now unbeaten in their last three matches.

It was the host's who started the game with more intent, looking to avenge their dramatic exit at the hands of Corby in this season's FA Cup, however they were unable to penetrate the resolute Corby defence meaning the scores were goalless at the break.

This meant that for the first time in their last three matches The Steelmen did not have a half time lead, although they did have one shortly afterwardsas Phil Watt (51) scored his first goal since returning from from his loan spell at Grantham.

City had the ball in the net after 82mins however the referee's assistant ruled the goal out for offside. This spurred Drury's men onwards, with substitute Andy Hall (88) finishing well, securing all three points for Corby at the end of an extremely difficult week for the club. This was Corby's first away win since they beat Gloucester City on the opening week of the season.
