Aaron Butcher Signs For The Steelmen
Corby Town have snapped up Boston United's 20 year old goalkeeper Aaron Butcher, just a week after first choice goalkeeper Chris Mackenzie departed The Rockingham Triangle for Blue Square North Champions elect Alfreton Town.
After being released by Peterborough United FC, Aaron linked up with Bob Warby at Boston United and has matured into one of the most exciting prospects outside the Football League.
Aaron established himself as Boston's first choice at just 17 years of age, displacing the more experienced goalkeepers Martyn Margarsson and former Arsenal goalkeeper Chris Wright in the process. Aaron held on to his position, helping the Pilgrims hold off relegation with some amazing performances.
Butcher will go straight into Saturday's squad to face Stalybridge Celtic, as The Steelmen look to exocise the demons of last weeks 7-2 humiliation at Solihull Moors and their 6-1 defeat to Eastwood last time out at The Rockingham Triangle.
