Chairman Confident After Securing Home Status

Chairman Peter Mallinger believes that having the game on their own ground has given the Steelmen the best possible opportunity to advance to the second round of The FA Cup.

"It is a big relief that we can hold the game at the Triangle," Mallinger said.

"There was a lot of pressure from certain people to move the game but that is not what we wanted.

"We wanted the game to be in Corby and we have got that but we did have to relent on the capacity issue which is disappointing.

"And that is the main reason why we have had to put prices up. There are a lot more costs for this game than normal and they will be covered by putting the prices up. We won't make any money from the game which is also disappointing.

"But we haven't had to move it and that's important. If we had done then it would have worked much more to Luton's advantage.

"We have a better chance of winning the game at the Triangle and that's the main reason we have fought to keep it there."

Tickets for the main stand for the clash against the Blue Square Bet Premier high-fliers will be priced at £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for under-16s. Terrace tickets will be £12, £8 and £4 respectively.

Corby booked their place in the first round of the FA Cup for the first time since 1967 with an emphatic 3-0 win over Salisbury City last weekend.
