Steelmen Fans To Walk 5.00 Miles for Lakelands Hospice
The Steelmen Travel Club has organised a sponsored walk on Saturday 13 November 2010, before the home fixture with Workington, in aid of Lakelands Hospice.
The walk will begin at 11.30am from Lakelands Hospice in Butland Road, Oakley Vale and end at The Rockingham Triangle Stadium. Corby Town manager Graham Drury will be walking the first mile too, before returning to The Triangle to begin preperations for the match.
All supporters are urged to take part and help raise as much money as possible for this excellent local charity. Sponsor forms are being distributed by Connor, who can be contacted on 07584687843.
The supporter who manages to raise the most money will also receive a signed Corby Town home shirt as a reward.
The Travel Club will also have buckets to collect money during the walk and at the match for those not taking part so please help us support this worthy cause.
Lakelands Day Care Hospice (Charity Reg. 1062120) provides respite day care facilities for adults in North Northamptonshire, South Leicestershire and Rutland. Since opening in 2001, the Hospice has helped over 2000 families in the area and continues to grow in order to meet the great need for respite day care.
The Hospice relies entirely on voluntary donations and support from the community to remain open. In 2010 Lakelands needs to raise in excess of £450,000 to keep its doors open.
