Cogenhoe United v Corby Town
The Steelmen head to Cogenhoe United in the 2nd Round of The Northants Hillier Cup, looking to defend the trophy that they won last season.
manager Graham Drury has pinpointed the match as a chance to give his squad players some much needed game time. "Tonight provides a great opportunity to run the rule over some fringe players. The lads on the bench need a run out, plus the players who have been out on loan; like Jamie McGhee and Liam Riddock. It will be good to see how they have progressed since they have been away from The Rockingham Triangle."
Drury is also set to name a number of Youth Team players in the squad following impressive displays for The Steelboys, as well as Craig Reid who joins from Ilkeston Town.
"The side I put out will be a strong one, we all want to win the match, and it provides a chance for them all to stake a claim for first team football."
The club plays its home games at Compton Park in Brafield Road, Cogenhoe. The club built the facilities and moved in during 1985. The ground capacity is 5,000, there are 100 seats, and 200 under cover. Compton Park has recently undergone ground and clubhouse improvements. There is a full training pitch with superb facilities and equipment. The Old Stand has now been replaced by a much bigger stand and there is also a covered stand behind the goal.
