Jarman: "We Can Cause A Big Upset This Time"
Nathan Jarman sees no reason why Corby Town can't win their FA Cup replay at Luton Town tonight. The Steelmen head to Kenilworth Road looking to finish the job off against the Hatters having come within seven minutes of doing so in the first game at Rockingham Triangle 10 days ago.
They will take their inspiration from the famous side of 1965 who upset the odds to beat Luton, then a Football League team, in a second-round replay having also come within minutes of winning the first game.
After his spectacular winning goal against Workington in the Blue Square Bet North at the weekend, Jarman is full of confidence ahead of their return clash with the high-flying Conference Premier side.
"We know we can do it, we've got players in our side who can certainly do a job at that level so, of course, we can win," he said.
"We're going there on the back of a win and hopefully we can keep things tight and get a result.
"I don't think we created enough in the first game and that's something we need to look at tonight.
"But as long as we don't sit off them and give them too much respect, as we did in the first game, then we can certainly do it.
"We've done well this year against the top sides, the likes of Boston and Telford, so there's no fear on our part.
"We've rested up well and got our recovery right and now we need to go in there tonight and do the job."
Jarman should keep his place in attack alongside Ben Mackey who got the Corby goal early in the first meeting.
And the Steelmen have been boosted by the news that Asa Charlton - who missed the Workington game - Danny Pitham and Steve Towers, who both went off during it, should all be fit to return to the side.
Boss Graham Drury confirmed Pitham and Towers merely went off as precautions ahead of tonight's clash.
But Adam Webster is definitely out after he needed six stitches in a knee wound he picked up at the weekend.
