Steelmen Travel Club Buses Full

The Steelmen Travel Club have confirmed that the coaches running to next Wednesday's FA Cup Replay at Luton Town are now completely full. The Travel Club runs supporters buses to all of Corby Town's league and cup fixtures, usually averaging between 30 and 60 supporters per match via their transport. For this match however, they have had to run three coaches in order to meet high demand.

Three coaches have been laid on by the official travel club of Corby Town FC, however all three are now sold out, with no more seats available.

The black and white convoy, which will leave Weatherspoons in Corby at 5pm on Wednesday evening, will be full of supporters hoping that the magic of The FA Cup will see their side repeat the famous victory against The Hatters back in 1965's competition.

Those supporters who have not been able to secure a seat on the coach are being urged to use the East Midlands Train service being put on for the fixture. More information can be found at: www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk

Connor McNally of The Steelmen Travel Club told corbytownfc.co.uk "It is brilliant that we have managed to fill these three coaches, and to be honest we probably could have filled more. I would like to thank everybody who is coming with us to lend their support and cheer on the team at Kenilworth Road.

"We have been running coaches to matches all season, however there is a huge buzz around this match. We have a number of new supporters travelling with us as well as those who come to every match. It is great to see the club moving forward and we are proud to be able to offer this service to Corby fans.

"I am sorry that we have not been able to accomodate everyone on the coaches, however would like to urge everybody who is still wishing to see the match to travel by train or by car to get there and help roar the lads into Round 2."

The football club are also extremely thankful to the supporters and The Travel Club. Manager Graham Drury said: "The work that the Travel Club do is brilliant, no matter where we travel to in the country there are supporters there to cheer us on. We know that times are hard at the moment financially for some, but these fans spend their hard earned money following us and we really do appreciate it. The lads that organise the buses do it voluntarily because they love the club and that is fantastic too.

"The fans of Corby Town are amazing, what they sometimes lack in numbers they certainly make up for with their passion. When we have 30-80 fans at away matches you can hear them over the home crowds, so the thought of hundreds of Steelmen fans at Kenilworth Road on Wednesday excites me.

"Every Corby person should do their best to get over to this match on Wednesday, because not only will the atmosphere be electric in the away end, but I have a good feeling that the performance on the pitch will match it. I really believe this is Corby's day, I believe that we are going to Charlton or Barnet in Round 2. I really believe this is Corby's time and myself and my players are going to do everything within our power to make that happen."

The Steelmen Travel club are also running a coach to AFC Telford, leaving Weatherspoons at 11am on Saturday morning, for the FA Trophy Tie at The New Bucks Head. There are a limited number of spaces remaining and supporters should book their seat for just £10 quickly to avoid disappointment. Contact Connor on 07584687843.
